Cookies
This site doesn’t use any.
No cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels. That is why you were never asked to accept anything.

Why there was no banner
A cookie banner exists to ask permission for tracking. There is nothing here to ask permission for.
What a cookie actually is
A cookie is a small file a website leaves on your device so it can recognise you later. Some are genuinely useful — keeping you logged in, remembering what is in a basket. Most of the ones you are asked to consent to are not those. They are there so that advertising companies can follow you between sites.
This site does neither. It has nothing to log into and nothing to sell you on another website, so it has no use for a cookie.
What we do instead
The usual reason a simple site ends up setting cookies is that it borrows things from other companies’ servers, and those companies take the opportunity to have a look at you. We host the lot ourselves:
- The typefaces are served from our own server, not from Google Fonts, so Google does not learn that you read this page.
- The films on the Ready to Roll page are ordinary video files on our server, not YouTube or Vimeo embeds. Those players set tracking cookies the moment a page loads, whether or not anybody presses play.
- There is no analytics. We do not measure visits, build audience profiles or run heatmaps. We have no idea who you are and have chosen not to find out.
- There are no social media widgets — no embedded feeds, no like buttons. Those are tracking tools that happen to display something.
The result is that every single file this page loads comes from engagedspeaking.co.uk. Reading this site tells nobody but us that you were here, and tells us only that somebody was.
Local storage and the rest of it
The same applies to the other ways a site can keep something on your device. We use no local storage, no session storage and no device fingerprinting. Nothing from this site persists on your computer or phone after you close the tab, beyond your browser’s ordinary cache of the images and fonts.
When you leave the site
There are links from here to LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. Those are plain links — nothing loads from them while you are on our pages. But once you follow one, you are on their website and their rules apply, which in every case will involve cookies and tracking. That is outside our control and we cannot cover it here.
If this ever changes
If we do add something that sets a cookie, we will update this page, change the date at the top, and ask your permission properly before it runs — rather than after, in a box designed to be agreed to.
What we do with the information you actively send us is a separate matter, and it is set out on the privacy page.
